4 ‘JMB men’ held in C’nawabganj

Chapainawabganj: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested four suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Dakhshin Sahar area in Sadar upazila on Monday night.

The arrestees are Abdul Kader, 30, Aminul Islam, 30, Abdur Rahman, 39, and Aktarul Islam, 46, hailing from Shibganj upazila, reports the UNB.

Being tipped-off, a team of the elite force in a drive arrested four JMB men along with a pistol, five round bullets, a magazine, 400gm gunpowder and bomb-making elements, said a RAB-5 press release.

In primary interrogation, the detainees confessed to their involvement with militant activities, said the release.
